Shiwei’s PhD focuses on helical anchor groups for securing floating offshore wind turbines. His research combines both numerical and physical modelling techniques to examine how helix embedmend depth and anchor spacing influences the capacity of helical anchor groups in both clay and sand.

Yasar is looking at how to integrate physics and statistics to predict the embedment of surface-laid pipelines and cables using field data.

Ben is an offshore engineer and PhD candidate at the Centre for Offshore Foundations Systems, where he is developing a constitutive model for calcareous silt.

Kamrul is a PhD student focusing on solving issues related to the installation and post-installation capacity of impact-driven monopiles in variably cemented carbonate sediments. His research, which supports the foundation of offshore wind turbines, involves both field testing of piles and comprehensive laboratory testing of the sediment.
